Full structure of the Aircraft Data in basestation.sqb

The basestation.sqb was conceived by Kinetic as repository for aircraft detected by their SBS hardware and the Basestation software.

There are various ways of getting a basestation.sqb file:
  1. Download using the script in PlanePlotter (PlanePlotter will also update the BS file with new aircraft if you have set the Options:SQB Hex Database options to do so)
  2. Using the Populate New File facility in AeroData's BaseStation Anayser (Requires the Aerodata Quantum+ database. If you are an Aerodata subscriber you will receive regular updates to their database, which can be used to keep your BS file up-to-date via BSA)
  3. Using the GAS Active Display Lite Program (Requires the Kinetic Basestation software running and Internet connection)
  4. Others that I have no experience of.  (If you do, then please let me know about your experience)

Notes

  1. Aerodata Quantum+ uses non-standard ICAO Type Codes. I have found a lot of inconsistency between the various sources
  2. Includes Manufacturer
